Day 3 at Milan Men's Fashion Week

It's already my second to last post for Milan Men's Fashion Week. You're all in for a treat today anyway, because there was some great shows yesterday, I'm talking Gucci which I hear was totally redesigned five days prior to the show if that's true or not I don't know. There was also Diesel Black Gold which is cool and also Fendi which I absolutely loved. Anyway shall we commence with the blog?

Gucci
So after Frida Giannini's departure from the house just under a week ago, apparently what I hear is true, that it was completely redesigned from the existing design team at Gucci. My God do they deserve a whole lot of credit, to design any collection in five days is a difficult task it goes without saying in fact, but to design a collection like that one is unbelievable. That was one of favourite Gucci collections in quite a while. This was a new era for Gucci, this time round it was less glitz and glamour and more true, real young boys. This I feel fits in perfectly for the Gucci brand especially for 2015? do you not think? Leave a comment regarding what you thought of the new Gucci. This collection was submerged in a youthful and romantic poets society. Again another show that had 1970's vibes and I don;t know about you but I'm loving this throwback to forty-five years ago. That first look was so striking, that blood red pussy bow blouse really set the tone for the remaining looks of the collection, I also loved that shrunken cyan blue jumper, the scarves and anything with that retro print on it. I love a pair of spectacles on a runway show, coming from a person who doesn't even need glasses, but whatever they were impeccable. Also what was fitting was the soundtrack to the show, which was actually from Tom Ford's "A Single Man" coincidence? I think not. Could the man who rescued Gucci twenty years ago, the man who brought sexy back be making a epic return. Anyway that's a blog post for another day and I most certainly don't want to take away from what Alessandro Michelle and his team achieved yesterday.

Diesel Black Gold
Diesel Black Gold always has that sort of controversial punk/rock factor about it and this season was exactly that. Only difference this time was these remedial students are going back to class late of course but still going. Dressed in shredded, zipped or patched denim. This collection was blunt and reeked of a rebellious attitude. Teachers be aware was definitely the message across the board. Chains also hung around almost every models' neck, think Sex Pistols new-found fans or on a similar level anyway, DIY overdrive. Models worn rugged, messy either chopped or long hair along with the favourited choice of footwear, the everlasting Chelsea boot. You can't be taken seriously cool without a great pair yourself. Essential wardrobe item for men. It's obvious this school's uniform was a mix of black, blue or grey. The school uniform idea I thought was fresh and smart, school jumpers and blazers had an amazing deconstructed/worn-in look to them. But overall it was a great collection full of inspirational looks and I look forward to it being made available. Favourite looks from the collection below.

Fendi
There was something very beautiful behind the inspiration for the Fall 2015 Fendi Menswear show. Silvia Venturini Fendi's daughter is currently studying in London, and when they do meet up in a nearby park Venturini Fendi awaits and notices faculty member getting on with their day and of course what lecturers don't wear tweed or corduroy? Although what I would like to say is no university lecturer, no matter what age dresses this well haha. If you follow me on Instagram then you'll know about my appreciation of the netted backpacks that each held a football, great invention. What I love about Fendi collections and what they nail every season is the comical modern twist on extremely luxury pieces, the Fendi Monster which people went crazy over, the headphones from a couple seasons ago and this time the apples that were also attached to backpacks and briefcases. You know, have a break in your local park have a apple and play a game of football, that's pretty easy isn't it? Scarves also played a major role in this collection as they have in a few collections over the past ten days or so. And I've had my eye on a pair of velvet trousers for about a month now. But enough about me. Finally does anyone's university lecturer dress like any model in this Fendi show? Let me know in the comments because I can't imagine it.

Fendi

Well tomorrow will be the last blog post on Milan Men's Fashion Week. I hope you enjoyed reading about Milan as much as I've enjoyed writing about it.
