Adidas Yeezy Boost by Kanye West

Perhaps the most anticipated footwear release since his Yeezy collaborations with Nike, The Adidas Yeezy Boost releases today. We first seen these amazing sneakers during Kanye's collection in collaboration with Adidas Originals at New York Fashion Week a little over seven days ago. In a collection predominantly inspired by the London Riots a few years back in 2011 and what featured his new hit "Wolves" with Sia and Vic Mensa, it was quite a show for Kanye. He also had what may well have been the most famous front row ever; with wife Kim, best friends Jay Z and Beyonce, P.Diddy, Anna Wintour, Rihanna and Alexander Wang. Although, what I found interesting was when watching a recent Showstudio Live Panel Discussion, they were discussing designers who show at NYFW being much more interested in what A-listers are going to be sat on their front row rather than the clothes themselves. So that I found very interesting and Kanye's may have proved that in some ways I guess. Anyway back to the sneakers, by what the Adidas website says: Branding is Considered, Minimal, Discovered, Lining has premium leather and mesh for the ultimate luxury and performance and the Insole uses Adidas' latest boost energy-retaining technology, designed to "keep every step charged with an endless supply of light, fast energy". I think the Adidas Yeezy Boost retails for $350 (roughly £230) but as we've known in the past, these can sell on eBay for anything up to $6000 (roughly £3900) afterwards when everything has completely sold. The garments I think are available shortly, the camouflage pieces releasing first, but I read in an interview that Kanye said the clothes aren't as cheap as he'd hoped they would to be. Did you see the Twitter rant Kanye West went on about "bigotry" in fashion? "I don't call myself a designer as I was not allowed to go to Saint Martin's", "because I was too famous by the time I realized I wanted to design" and "fame is often looked down on in the design world so it's actually been something I've had to overcome" he shortly deleted the tweets.
